Yes, I do take and bill most insurances for a medical visit. I will also bill for psychotherapy services when appropriate.. I do not bill insurance for acupuncture. Instead I bill for the time we spend together as a physician visit. I am contracted with Medicare, Cigna, Aetna, Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare.
We will spend the first part of any visit discussing what is coming up for you and review integrative strategies to work with the challenges you face. Then for adults and interested teenagers, I offer acupuncture or acupressure to support deeper alignment. For younger children, I implement painless acupressure and guided imagery techniques to support deeper alignment and relief. While on the therapy table, we will make connections between body, mind and spirit. After treatments, we will discuss recommendations for diet, supplements, or practices that can support your healing journey.
If you do not want acupuncture needles, I can activate the acupuncture points using light touch or essential oils.
